Waterside Wood
This purpose built building offers first class accommodation for 26. It is situated at Moor Crag which is part of Great Tower but a short drive away on the shore of Lake Windermere.
The 2-storey building incorporates a high standard of insulation with double glazing and complies with fire safety requirements.
The upper floor houses the dormitories one of ten bunks and four of four bunks and a lounge area large enough for all your party. The lower floor consists of a galley / dining room plus the main toilet and shower block. The central heating / domestic hot water system provides ample hot water. Other rooms on the lower floor are for stowage of the centre's own gear.
The upper floor has been fitted out for comfort and needs to be kept dry. The ground floor being designed for the wet side of the operation. The galley / dining room is equipped with fridge and large cooker, all utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided. A coin-operated drying machine and payphone are part of the complex.
