We know just how important a clean toilet block is to our users and through regular cleaning, we aim to keep our standard as high as possible. We also have a current programme of upgrading our toilet blocks. See Future Plans.
The Providore
Full of the usual sweets, soft drinks, badges & gifts, our providore is open at set times each day or by arrangement to suit your programme. Ice-cream & Lollies in Summer and a small range of emergency supplies such as washing-up liquid, pan scourers etc.
We are also stockists of Calor gas bottles & Camping Gaz.
Wet Weather Shelter
“The Bield” is a huge wet weather shelter in Camp Centre which is available for all site users to retreat to if the weather just gets too damp to cope. Free of charge but not available for exclusive use sorry.
Office Facilities
Access to photocopying, faxing etc is readily available at cost on request to all site users.
Telephone Kiosk
A coin-operated payphone is available at all hours in camp centre. Most mobile phone reception is either poor or non-existent on-site although reception is available to most networks in certain parts of the site. Vodafone seems to be the most accessible network & works in most areas of the site.
Car Parking
The main car park is situated just inside the main gate and cars should be returned here wherever possible after unloading near to your camping area. There are also numerous small parking areas dotted throughout site where cars may be driven to and parked at the owner’s risk.
Water Taps
Most camping pitches are within easy reach of our massive water network dotted around the site.
Wood Fires
Being a camp sited situated within 250 acres of natural ancient woodland, there is ample timber suitable for fires just lying around on the ground. Fires are permitted but only on raised alter fires (available free from reception) or in areas designated by the Camp Site Manager. We care for our forest, please do not bark, cut or fell any standing timber.
Internet Access
We have a free wireless access point covering camp centre which you are free to use. Simply bring your laptop along with a wireless network card to access the internet.
Dogs
In the interests of health & safety, we are sorry but dogs are not generally allowed on-site.
